On-Site Drone Services
Drone technology has moved well beyond “nice aerial photos.” With today’s sensors and survey-grade workflows, UAVs can capture repeatable site data that helps people plan, measure, inspect, and monitor faster and safer than many traditional methods.
At True Datum Aerial, we provide end-to-end drone capture and processing across a broad range of applications, including aerial mapping and surveying support, stockpile and earthworks measurement, construction progress tracking, roof/façade and asset inspections, road/rail/drainage corridor capture, and agriculture and land management (for example: crop variability, drainage/erosion issues, and monitoring the health and condition of trees).
Our primary mapping platform is the DJI Matrice 4E with RTK, which has a published RTK Fix GNSS accuracy of 1 cm + 1 ppm (horizontal) and 1.5 cm + 1 ppm (vertical), plus ±0.1 m hovering accuracy with RTK supporting stable, repeatable data capture. The Matrice 4E also features a 4/3” 20 MP wide camera with a mechanical shutter (24 mm equivalent), which helps reduce motion-related distortion during mapping flights.
From these flights, we produce practical deliverables orthomosaics, 3D terrain models (DSM/DTM), point clouds, contours, and volumetric reports tailored to your use case. Final map/model accuracy still depends on the job setup (RTK/PPK and/or ground control, flight height, site conditions, and required tolerances), and we match the workflow to the outcome: fast turnaround for decision-making, or tighter control when survey-grade confidence is required.
